Hi!
4 weeks ago I posted a demo of my app for a bidirectional Apple Notes editor
You subscribed to this list to get updates from me.
Ok, today I'm releasing the very first version.
The app is called Original (not sure if I like it yet) and there is a website https://original.me/ and also the App Store link https://apps.apple.com/us/app/original-me/id6756148804
What is in:
- connect Apple Notes and see them in a new interface
- new editor capabilities like outlines, Markdown formatting options, toolbars, focus mode etc. — tons of modern editor features
- it also works with any Markdown files (you can open one Markdown file in the Finder or a whole Obsidian Vault)
- editing Apple Notes is a paid feature. Basically pro mode, and it costs $25 total (lifetime, no subscription)
What is coming (I have most of it, but removed it from the first version to reduce the scope):
- connect Apple Reminders and Apple Contacts
- semantic search over all connected data
- auto export of all data from Notes, Reminders, Contacts to Markdown files with bidirectional write support
What might come:
- I also have a prototype for Apple Calendar integration
- and I have an Obsidian-like graph view that shows connections between notes, people, reminders etc. Not sure how useful it is
Please give it a try if you can. Very curious if it works for you or not. What features do you think are important, and what can be skipped?
Anton
